Operational Performance
BNSF operating teams continue to focus on maintaining strong service performance as we move into the new year. Following a temporary dip associated with typical Christmas and New Year’s impacts, key metrics are recovering, highlighted by notable gains in velocity and reduced dwell over the past few days.

Service Expectations for the Week Ahead
Periods of rain and localized heavy precipitation are expected in California and the Pacific Northwest, posing risks for flooding through the weekend and into next week. Colder temperatures and pockets of snow are forecast across portions of the Northern Corridor, with potential impacts from wind and winter conditions in higher elevations. BNSF operating teams are closely monitoring conditions and aligning resources as needed to support safe and reliable service.
As always, we thank you for your business and appreciate the opportunity to serve as your transportation service provider. We welcome your feedback and questions.
